What determines the ethology?

Ethology is referred to as the doctrine of behavior, or, even easier to conduct research itself. A detailed observation of animal behavior shows clearly the specific behaviors of individual species that are usually on the conservation of the species. One would like to examine in ethology, especially the types of behavior in humans and animals are angbeoren and which are learned throughout life. One might wonder why some people find attractive and why others do not. Another ethological question would be the criteria in animals other dogs in the selection of appropriate partners play a role. Such questions are at the forefront of ethology. In addition, behaviors such as imitation, cues, aggressive behavior, territorial behavior, courtship, reflexes, instinctive acts and explores the hierarchy of animal groups or packs.

Ethology is regarded as an analytical and contemplative discipline that concentrates its interest mainly due to the conditions that push factors, and other categories of the overall behavior. Ethology asked especially to the how, why, where and when. It is primarily focused on measurable and reproducible results and thus comes to the generally correct statements. The way individual experience of the respective observed behavior, the mental causes, the quality and nature of the emotions that arise, for example, while the behavior, do not belong to the subject area of ethology. This falls much more in the field of psychology.

New findings in ethology

The question of why a behavior occurs even in its form, is very contradictory to be discussed and answered in both the past and the present. In this case, however, animals have been classified as always being with a lower consciousness and sentience. Lowest rates guaranteed one must revise those judgments in the increasingly Ethology. In contrast, besides, the question is whether man is superior to the animal really so much as it was proposed before. In particular, the new scientific research findings provide an occasion to consider human behavior from an entirely different perspective and gain new insights can be.
There is also the field of cognitive ethology. It is a subfield of ethology. This deals with the evolution of communicative and cognitive processes in nonhuman primates. This is especially the age-dependent development of communication skills and the influence of social learning in the foreground. A further focus on these cognitive ethology is the study of the influence of social systems, ecology and the phylogenetic position in the structure of vocalizations.
