Histology - a definition
The term "histology" comes from Latin and means "Histology". Every human body consists of a variety of tissue types. In a fabric to be understood as an association of similar structure cells with the same function. Generally speaking, the human body is a way of ordering, in which each individual parts are combined into larger units. So similar cells form a tissue which is involved in the construction of the corresponding organs. There are four basic tissues: epithelial, connective and supporting tissue, muscle and nerve tissue, on the description and function will now be discussed in detail ...
The various ground tissue histology
The epithelium is a planar cell structure, the inner or outer body surfaces covered. These include the upper skin (epidermis), the mucous membrane (mucosa), the inner lining of the vessels (endothelium) and the general lining all body cavities. Respect to its function satisfies the epithelium following tasks: uptake (absorption), substance release (secretion), receiving stimuli and the important protective function. However, the epithelial tissue can be further subdivided into three types or with, in the surface-forming surface epithelium, the glandular epithelium and the sensory epithelium.
The connective and supporting tissue in the human body in wide use and fulfills some very different tasks: is It the basic framework of the institutions and wrapped it connects with a capsule, the muscles in the form of tendon to the bone and, with the bone and cartilage the support structure for the body dar. As the connective tissue, so we distinguish the embryonic connective tissue (mesenchyme), the reticular connective tissue, fatty tissue and the fibrous tissue. Cartilage is composed of the characteristic cartilage cells, chondrocytes, and a significantly developed intercellular substance, according to the structure of this substance is different to the hyaline cartilage, elastic cartilage and fibrocartilage. The bone tissue forms as the skeletal support structure of the body. It consists of the bone cells called osteocytes, and a calcified intercellular substance.
Another reason is the muscle tissue. It consists of elongated cells, which can shorten (contract). This will enable the various movements of the body. After construction and function distinguish the striated muscles, the volume represents the largest proportion of muscle tissue, smooth muscle, which is the visceral muscles and the heart muscle, which is a combination of the two above-mentioned muscles.
Use of the nervous tissue - the ultimate form of backing fabric - to include stimuli that turned into excitement, and then forwarded eventually ends. The nervous tissue consists of nerve cells (neurocytes) and the supporting and surrounding sheath cells.
Thus each of the four met in the field of tissue histology extremely important tasks in terms of the functions of the human body!
